Refrigerated transport vehicles maintain fixed temperature within the range from -25C to +25C regardless of temperature over board of container, truck or railcar.                  

Insulated transport vehicles (thermoses) are suitable for transportation of some temperature sensitive cargo but in definite period (year season or short distance) while cold accumulation of cargo is enough for keeping product quality.

Some perishables could be also carried in thermos 20ft containers, road trucks or rail-wagons. In this case Insulated shipment VS Refrigerated shipment gives substantial cost advantage.
